01 / Controller
Who is responsible for your information
Overseas Mortgage Finance Limited (“OMF”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal information where we decide why and how it is used. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 08028016, with registered address Flat 34, 15 Enfield Road, London, N1 5EN.
OMF is an Appointed Representative of Connect IFA, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Other organisations involved in a mortgage or insurance matter—such as a lender or provider—may act as separate controllers and provide their own privacy information.
02 / Information
What we collect
When you submit the website enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, selected service, the page you contacted us from and the short enquiry context shown in the form. If you contact us by telephone or email, we also use the information you choose to provide in that conversation.
To deliver and protect the website, our hosting and security providers may process technical information such as IP address, device and browser signals, request time, requested page and bot-detection results. The enquiry function records a short salted fingerprint derived from the IP address in security metrics; it does not place the raw address in those application metrics. Hosting or security provider logs may still contain the original address under their own service configuration.
If your enquiry progresses, we may ask for financial, identity, residency, property and supporting-document information needed to assess and administer the matter. We will explain any materially different use at the appropriate time.
You are not under a statutory or contractual obligation to use the website form. We need the marked contact fields to identify and respond to your enquiry; without them, we may be unable to contact you.
03 / Purpose
Why we use it and our lawful bases
- Answer and assess an enquiry
- To respond, understand the requested service and take steps you ask us to take before a possible contract. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract and, where appropriate, our legitimate interest in administering enquiries.
- Provide an agreed service
- To communicate, assess the case, coordinate with relevant organisations and keep service records. The lawful basis is performance of a contract and steps connected with it.
- Meet legal and regulatory duties
- To comply with applicable financial-services, record-keeping, fraud-prevention, complaints and other legal obligations. The lawful basis is compliance with a legal obligation.
- Keep the service secure
- To validate requests, limit automated abuse, investigate failures and maintain reliable systems. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in protecting visitors, OMF and its services.
- Marketing
- We do not add website enquirers to unrelated marketing automatically. Where consent is required, we ask separately; you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the purpose, necessity and likely effect on you. You may object to this processing in some circumstances.
05 / Transfers
Processing outside the UK
Some service providers and their subprocessors operate in the United States, the European Economic Area and other countries. Their use can therefore involve processing outside the UK.
Where UK personal data is transferred to a country without UK adequacy regulations, the applicable provider terms must supply a recognised transfer safeguard. Depending on the provider and transfer, this may include the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, binding corporate rules or another lawful mechanism. Additional technical and organisational safeguards may also apply.
Contact us if you would like current information about a material transfer safeguard used for your enquiry.
06 / Retention
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected. We consider whether an enquiry becomes a client matter, the time needed to answer or follow up, applicable financial-services and legal record-keeping requirements, limitation periods, complaints and the need to establish or defend claims.
If no client relationship develops, we periodically review enquiry records and delete or anonymise information that is no longer needed. If a relationship develops, the relevant client-record retention policy applies. The website rate-limit counter expires after approximately one hour; hosting, delivery and security logs follow the retention settings and terms applicable to the relevant provider account.
07 / Rights
Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask for access to your personal information, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, or transfer of information you supplied in a portable format. Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
These rights are not absolute and exemptions may apply—for example where information must be kept to meet a legal obligation or deal with a legal claim. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. To exercise a right, email info@globalomf.com.
OMF does not use this website to make a solely automated mortgage or lending decision about you. Cloudflare Turnstile makes an automated security assessment to protect the form; it does not assess mortgage eligibility. A lender may make its own decisions under its own processes and privacy information.
08 / Protection
Security and website technologies
We use measures intended to protect enquiry information, including encrypted transport, strict request and origin validation, bot verification, submission rate limiting, input validation, limited operational logging and access controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please use the contact details below if you believe information has been misdirected or exposed.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site does not use advertising cookies. It loads Brevo's marketing-automation script on every page, which may set cookies to recognise a returning visitor and connect on-site activity to an enquiry if one is later submitted. When you open the enquiry panel, Cloudflare Turnstile also runs browser checks and may use security technologies needed to assess and validate the request; that service is loaded only when you choose to open the panel, rather than on every page view.
09 / Contact
Questions, changes and complaints
We review this notice when the website data flow or legal requirements change. If a new purpose is materially different, we will update the information before starting that processing and provide any further notice required.
Please contact us first if you have a privacy question or concern. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority. Visit the ICO complaint guidance for current contact options.
